Jenny A. Real Estate is a responsive custom website for a real estate agent based in Chino Hills, CA.
Jenny needed a new website, but she didn’t want a standard website that screams “I’m a real estate agent! I am number one! Let me sell your home!”
Before it being a real estate website, Jenny wanted it to be Jenny’s website. Putting together a typical real estate website is easy: Take a few stock images of beautiful homes, add a generic real estate agent’s bio into the mix, and finish it with a generic IDX search.
Jenny tried this approach before with a different web design and development company and was disappointed with the result.
There’s only so much you can do when trying to customize a template...
So, Jenny decided to give us a shot.
She wanted the website to be a reflection of her personality. She wanted the website to communicate her brand.
Everything from the unusual logo to images to the color pattern is designed to let visitors know that this is Jenny’s “house”; it’s her online space; it’s her corner of the World Wide Web.
You may or may not like Jenny’s website, but you can’t deny it’s unique and memorable.
And here’s a side note if you are a real estate professional reading this post.
No matter which marketing gurus you’re following, they all tend to agree on one thing: If you are in real estate, before being in the sales business, you are in branding and marketing business.
Branding, among other things, includes the way your website looks and feels (UX). Uploading your logo into a template and having tons of sales-y opt-in forms isn’t good branding.
Prospective clients take many factors into consideration before hiring a real estate agent.
Not always the most qualified real estate professional gets the deal.
More often than not, the Realtor’s personality, their ability to "click" with the client, play a major role. This extends to your website as well.
If your website has no personality, it doesn’t mean it appeals to everybody; quite the opposite, it actually appeals to no one.
Since Jenny decided to go the route of custom web design and development, she is going to enjoy the following (among other things):
Unique custom logo
Unique web design
Custom IDX integration
Custom landing page generator for easy Facebook marketing & lead capture
Custom Zillow reviews integration
Custom Blog module
Custom administrator’s dashboard
Customized WYSIWYG text editor
Responsive design -- works great on smartphones and tablets and passes Google’s mobile-friendly website test
Google Analytics and search engine submission
Ability to seamlessly modify the website in the future without having to redo it or conform to limitations imposed by a selected template.
